ICHOR is looking ahead to develop products which offer some of the more recently-discovered cannabinoids. Emerging studies focused on CBN (cannabinol) and CBG (cannabigerol) are beginning to suggest that CBD is far from being the only beneficial substance.
CBN is under study to determine its antibacterial, neuroprotectant, and appetite stimulating properties*. CBN is also believed to have attributes which could contribute to more restful sleep.
CBG is actually the parent molecule to CBD, CBN, and many other cannabinoids. Over time, as the hemp plant ages, CBG undergoes chemical changes which ultimately result in new and different molecules. Its potential for acting as an anti-inflammatory agent and positively impacting other medical issues is currently being studied.
