CBD tinctures are a great way to get CBD into your system – but many people, even regular CBD users, aren’t familiar with the word ‘tincture.’ They’re not sure what it is, what it does, and what great assets tinctures can be when it comes to consuming CBD.

CBD Oil Tinctures

Making an herbal tincture is pretty simple. All you have to do is mix alcohol and water to extract compounds from a plant – in CBD’s case, the cannabis plant. Sometimes, tinctures are advertised as being made without alcohol, and the alcohol is then substituted with glycerin, vinegar, or oil as the solvent. Though some may see the draw to this alcohol-free mixture, none of these combinations are as strong as the extract that alcohol and water can produce. ICHOR, because of their pride in quality, only makes full spectrum CBD tinctures. This means that the CBD strains we use come from full spectrum hemp, and contain the least processed form of the oil that comes from the hemp plant.

Methods of Consumption

There are options when it comes to getting CBD in your system via tincture. Such methods include:

• Sublingually – This is when you hold the dropper under the tongue for 30-60 seconds. This method makes for the quickest absorption.

• Food additive – This method doesn’t work quite as fast, but the CBD oil tincture’s flavor can blend with flavors of the food to make for an enjoyable cooking experience.

• Beverage additive – Much in the way of adding it to food, the CBD oil tincture can add some exciting flavor to an otherwise boring drink.

Tinctures have a long shelf life, they’re convenient for everyday life, and they’re safe to use. It’s also easy to adjust the dosage by simply adding or subtracting the amount of droplets you consume.

With any type of CBD, there aren’t usually many side effects*, because CBD itself is known for how safe it is. One important thing to note, though, is that you should never try and replace prescriptions with CBD unless you’ve talked to your doctor about doing so.

CBD Nectar

As with everything we create, ICHOR only uses premium CBD when it comes to crafting tinctures. This means that the quality of our CBD is pure and potent – ICHOR Nectar, our own CBD oil tincture, is strong. It is mint flavored and holds about 1200mg per bottle. Because of its potency, the smartest option is to start with a small amount via whatever method you choose. When you start small, you can see how your body feels and reacts, then gradually increase the amount until you notice a difference. Instead of biting off more than you can chew, see how the full spectrum CBD tincture makes you feel and let your body get used to it.

It’s important to remember that consistency is key when it comes to how you incorporate CBD into your life. It won’t work as efficiently if you take it once and wait for the results. Instead, it should be taken every day – this is how you’ll experience predictable and long-term benefits. And after seeing what CBD can do for you, there’s nothing you’ll want more than to work it into your everyday routine.
